4) Chairing a forum of UCT staff working broadly in the field where seminars are presented to promote interdisciplinary sharing.

5) Maintenance of a Database of research conducted by UCT staff relevant to this area.

1. Encouraging Institutional Diversity and Inclusivity Research. The Director of Transformation is part of the UCT team led by Deputy Vice Chancellor Crain Soudien engaging in the UCT Climate Survey in collaboration with members of the UCT Psychology Department in 2013. This follows on previous climate surveys conducted at UCT. For more information contact the co-ordinator of this arm Glenda.Wildschut@uct.ac.za.

2. Applied Diversity Education. The ADAPT Programme is a workshop-based initiative developed within the University by the Transformation Services Office, and led by Francois Botha, director of the UCT Discrimination and Harassment Office (DISCHO) and Glenda Wildschut, director of the TSO, and assisted by Khairoonisa Foflonker. Following on the university's Khuluma and Mamela Programmes, ADAPT seeks to engage UCT staff as well as students in a meaningful conversation around transformation, inclusion and social justice. It aims to provide staff and student leaders with the skills and competencies to engage with each other’s class, race, gender, dis/ability, sexuality, cultural and other differences in an empathic and respectful way. The overarching aim of the ADAPT workshops is to facilitate deeper understanding of each other in order to facilitate a positive impact on the institutional culture.
